I finished my first Nichlas Sparks book, The Choice, on Friday. The movies, The Notebook, and A Walk to Remember, are not even close to the tears I shed while reading The Choice. It isn't necessarily sadder but I think its the build up for the characters you grow stronger to while reading verses watching in a movie...at least for me this time... I cried myself to sleep and actually crashed, took one of my famous naps : ) before I could enjoy my Friday night.
Looking forward to Monday, September 14th when I am going with my sister to meet Nicholas Sparks for a book signing in Huntington. She has him to thank for getting into reading. I've always loved to read but she never got into a book til she read his. Will be sure to take pictures! I already called to make sure we can : )

Hello, Shannon.
It's been a while, but I wanted to thank you for your beautiful and heartfelt message earlier this summer. I appreciated your thoughtfulness and your warmth, for it brought me comfort and strength.
I may have to pick up this book. A good cathartic release is good every once in a while. I hope you have a wonderful time meeting him.
xoxo

Bella! So good to hear from you!
Tonight is the Book Revue Night!
I was unable to post on your blog...so many people anxious to write you : )
Warning on The Choice... it really is a true tear breaker so perhaps give yourself a little more time before this cathartic release.
Stay well!!! : )
