Christmas Shopping

We know Christmas falls on Dec. 25 each year and yet Dec. 21 and I am still shopping. However I did a great deal of crossing names of my shopping list tonight at Kohls. I even ran into my mom who was going to be shopping at the mall. She said it was so bad just entering Roosevelt Field's parking lot that she did one of her infamous turn arounds (where you aren't supposed to turn around) and headed straight to the local department stores (where I went first!)

I had gone into Marshalls first hoping to find a pair of snow boots. I found the perfect boot BUT that was the problem, BOOT not bootS. I felt like Cinderella walking around with one boot looking for its pair which was no where to be found. Needless to say I didn't meet a Prince Charming tonight either hehe. Fun night shopping with one of my girlfriends, and productively so because I only need to find something for my dad. He is usually the toughest when he doesn't say what he wants which I missed the memo this year if he did.

This will be the first year my mom said she can't finance the stocking stuffers. In all honesty now that she is a grandma it is kinda timely that she stop all the extras with all her kids. We are all still living at home with her, basically free room and board beats any stocking stuffer in my book.

Movies Review

When winter comes and its too cold to be outside and its already reruns on tv it is movie time. Im sure Im not alone when you rent a movie only to realize, wait a minute, I did see this one before. In an effort to not repeat movies I have already seen this year here is a quick review of some I enjoyed (which may not be the worst thing to see again)

P.S. I love you
Very cute romantic movie that left me yet again longing to visit Ireland.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall
So funny, great comedy about breaking up and moving on. Always good for girls to see boys cry sometimes :)

The rocker
Office fans, Dwight is HYSTERICAL as the rocker, a def must see!

What happens in Vegas
Very cute movie. Altho the Hangover is tops for what happens in Vegas movies as far as Im concerned.

No reservations
Some people just work too hard and forget about living life, this movie is for you if you need to see the light.

Friends with money
Jennifer Anistan was great in this. Good friends movie.

Music and lyrics
Where are they know 80s pop star played by Hugh Grant who makes the music to his plant water girl sub Drew Barrymore makes the lyrics and of course they become romantically involved.

Most likely to purposely watch again: The Rocker and P.S. I love you

December

Oh my goodness, where does the time go?
One of my coworkers said the other day that any day you wake up is a good day.
It's great to stay positive like that : )
Trying to keep on the up and up this holiday season. Holidays can be an emotional time, even when you are happy! Sometimes sad slips in but its all good.
Been keeping busy with the family, the little niece, Christmas movies & decorating.
Somehow Christmas Eve is 10 days away!
Working on my shopping list and will be finally shopping by the end of the week hehe.

One thing I did have at one of the Christmas parties last week - Eggnog! of course with Southern Comfort! Do treat yourself, tis the season :)
