I love it! How funny is this? A combination of my laziness (not looking to get up to turn off the tv after the bachelor since I misplaced my remote) and intrigue.
So funny, a bunch of girls at totally different stages in life, and how they look at guys advertising themselves on a conveyor belt. I think this is the best dating show yet. It's about honesty up front right away. No time for games. Interested or Not Interested. Again best dating show, for two people to meet up to have a fun date, totally beats out The Bachelor aka Future Husband. Sometimes its just not healthy to look at every hello as a future husband. Relax ladies.

Crazy bachelorettes
10 minutes into the second hour - I'm throwing support to Elizabeth! The girl brings a football and gets the crazy girl in costume away from Jake. Gives him a fantasy football game hehe. Then the young divorced girl gets the first impression rose. Elizabeth is so bummed and was like she kissed him the first night? really? A completely rational reaction. Yay, she doesn't look crazy yet, still a potential.
Seriously a weird show and crazy situation.
Best of luck Jake!

The Bachelor

First 40 minutes, my thoughts:
First - OMG I never want to go on another date! No, not because I'm totally smitten with Jake, altho he does appear to be Mr. Perfect, but seeing how fake these girls are, the whole "winning" attitude. This is LIFE people, not something to be WON, but LIVED.
I hope Jake is the bachelor because he wants to find his life partner, not WIN a trophy wife. There are quite a few girls that came off as total trophy wives. Very pretty, but sweethearts when you have to describe yourself as intelligent... its sweet it really is but try using that intelligence to describe your accomplishments and compatible traits you share with Jake.
What I thought of the girls videos of themselves:
Teacher - loved her moms enthusiasm in shopping for her for the show
Manhattan girl - altho Im a LI girl I got the city girls back. she came off very sincere, so well see!
Then meeting Jake:
CRAZY GIRLS!!! Have any of them heard what NOT to say to a man when first meeting him? I mean yes he is here to meet his wife but freaky to hear you say Hi I'm Mrs. Jake, come on ladies... TACKY!!! And some are scary, do you really want to show him how competitive you are by bringing candies for the losers or saying how you wanted to "slap" Julian for sending him home... Um... WOAH, Jake I pray you are not so blonde to miss these RED flags.
I was not impressed with the teacher's intro. Overwhelmed myself with all these chicks, altho one stood out, Elizabeth, the one in the red dress was cute talking with him. Then I also found I was rooting for the Manhattan girl, the camera stayed on him watching her walk inside.
Ready to hear what Jake thinks of these girls!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
Christmas Eve I went to visit my Grandma after work. Met my dad at the nursing home. My grandma had pneumonia which is never good. She really was not well. She couldn't speak during our visit and was barely able to say her sweet "Thank you for coming" when we left. Her roommate had informed me that when someone came from the church that morning to give her communion the woman also tried to give to my grandma. My grandma could not eat and could not even handle the host and so she was blessed with the anointing of the sick.
Christmas morning I waited for my sister to wake me to open presents. When 10am came around I was getting hungry and decided to go downstairs to see where she was... First stop was the bathroom downstairs after discovering there was no toilet paper in our upstairs bathroom. My dad greeted me at the stairs and had me see something in his room. One of our cats was getting a special breakfast on the table in his room. I laughed and then turned to go back down the hall to the bathroom. He then stops me and tells me that Mimi passed away in her sleep Christmas morning. I nod, and he asks, You knew? No, I told him, but after seeing her yesterday it is not a surprise and almost a blessing she isn't in any pain.
My dad said it was very special to die on Christmas and it was the best Christmas gift his dad's gotten in years (he passed away 21 years ago). I agreed and cried, hugged my dad, and then went to the bathroom for some needed tissues now.
Thankfully my sister was already at the house with my niece Emma who definitely helped all of us with our smiles on Christmas morning. My Mimi, as we called my grandmother, was just one of the sweetest people. She had a great heart and I will forever miss her. Even tho I was not a fan of the nursing home I was always a fan of our time together.
Life goes on and our family continues. Just check out this cutie that made my Mimi a great grandmother : )
