Bridal Shower

Saturday was Liz's Bridal Shower! Not knowing the families made it a comfortable event for me...dunno bout for the future inlaws tho. It was a great success compared with my sister's baby shower a few months back. That is for sure!
Then I got to go home to the party for my aunt moving back to New York. Just when you'd of thought our house was full, there's room for one more! Our full house hasn't busted yet and of course when I finally bust out I will share all the pics of my future place! However real estate is still not low enough and taxes are still too high. More fun stories at home to come...

Homecoming Weekend

Drove up to Rhode Island early Saturday morning. Thought I'd leave at 6:30am... but as you know I am not much of a morning person but did get on the road at 7am to beat out any traffic. The plan was to go back to Bryant College for homecoming but it was pouring...so naturally we went shopping instead. I haven't been on campus since graduation 7 years ago but did make it back Saturday night and saw a comedy show with Dan Cummins and Dave Coulier. Just googled Dan Cummins because I was not too familiar with him and OMG your hair cut is great! Much better than that previous look! I have no idea how long its been short now but you need to somehow upload more current pics of yourself to the web so if and when you are googled better shots come up! That's what I would do if I were you anyways...

Meanwhile Uncle Joey (of course I can't help that) LOOKING GREAT! Of course I was laughing because he is so funny I also couldn't help but think how great some men age usually much better than women. Why is that? Seriously he has gorgeous blue eyes and I couldn't help but think how much sexier he will look when he lets a little grey set in his hair. What's up with that? I could not cut out those thoughts! Check him out online:

Confessions of a Shopaholic

What a fun girly movie! I love this shot I found online... while I am never surrounded by designer shoes when it comes time to cleaning out the closet I do find myself in quite a mess and greatly sympathized with this shot!If you haven't already be sure to check this one out with your girls!

Nicholas Sparks - Book Signing

What a sweet heart! Tonight was a lot of fun. I went to the Book Revue in Huntington, NY and listened to Nicholas Sparks speak about his new book The Last Song, got an autographed copy and got my picture taken with him! Isn't he darling? Of course he has to be to write the stories that he does. The movie for The Last Song comes out in January and Dear John is to be released in February. Personally I love both the books and films : ) Hope you enjoy his works as well!

another picture from my cell when he was speaking to the crowd, which was a couple hundred tonight!

the time traveler's wife

just finished reading it! soo many tears... sigh...

a girl that used to work with me at the library recommended this book, it probably just came out and she loved it and said how i have to read it, was in library school and didnt do much reading other than assignments so i never read it. then i saw the commercials this summer for the movie and was like ooh i need to read that one!

and tonight i finished this great story. a very unique love story. id rather share my thoughts with those that have read the book. all i can say is how much i felt when i read this story. my heart longed for a love like henry. i cried for clares pain. i love books that can evoke such strong emotions from its readers. this is one of those books. have tissues handy!
